What if the power adapter squeaks

A power adapter, running a very large “squeak” sound, interference with the consumer’s operating mood.

Repair process: In general, it is normal for the power adapter to have small operating noise, but if the noise is annoying, that is a problem. Because the power adapter only in the switching transformer, or inductance coil magnetic ring and coil between the relatively large gap will cause “squeak”. After removing the power adapter, gently touch part of the coil on the two inductors without power supply. If it does not feel loose, you can be sure that the operating noise of the power adapter is from the switching transformer.

The method of eliminating the “squeak” sound of switching transformer during operation is as follows:

(1) Re-weld the solder joints connecting several pins of the switch transformer and the PRINTED circuit board with an electric soldering iron. When welding, press the switch transformer to the circuit board by hand, so that the bottom of the switch transformer is in close contact with the circuit board.

(2) in the switch transformer core and coil inserted into the middle of the appropriate plastic plate or sealed with polyurethane adhesive.

(3) In the switch transformer and circuit board between pad into hard paper or plastic board.

In this case, the switch transformer was removed from the circuit board and the “squeak” was eliminated using another method.

Therefore, in the purchase of power adapter, the quality control of the power adapter transformer is also very necessary, at least can save a lot of inconvenience!
